The Impact of Early Snow

While golf enthusiasts may want to maximize their time on the course, it's essential to stay tuned to the weather. Early-season storms have been known to cover fairways and greens with snow in late September or early October, especially in the higher elevations. Once the snow sticks, most courses will remain closed for the season to prepare for winter activities such as skiing and snowshoeing.

Making the Most of the Fall Golf Season

Fall is a magical time for golf in North Lake Tahoe. The cooler temperatures and changing foliage create a stunning backdrop for a round on any of these world-class courses. Many clubs offer special fall rates or packages during the final weeks of the season, making it the perfect time to enjoy a last-minute golf getaway. Be sure to call ahead or check course websites for specific closing dates and updates.

In summary, if you’re hoping to get in some last rounds of golf before the season wraps up, plan your trip for early to mid-October. The sooner you visit, the better your chances of catching these beautiful courses before winter takes hold of North Lake Tahoe.

Happy golfing!
